10:39 pm - Jagjit & Chitra
This post comes after a very long time. People might think he's got a job in Goa so he'd be having a ball. But they did'nt notice that there was'nt a "high in the day" for very long.
The latest obsession is Jagjit Singh and Chitra Singh. Bought an MP3 CD of theirs for dad, ended up copying it on my own computer and listening to it over and over again for like half a week now. The favourite being "ahista ahista", I have 3 versions of it, with different shers. They are all live, and I have started to realize that these live performances are an experience of their own. I have'nt been in any. Thats next on the list.
I want to write about Chitra Singh, but the words are'nt coming...

02:39 pm - Good Morning Mumbai
The high in this day... This happens to many days since I moved to Mumbai. The high in the day is 15 mins of a Radio Show called Good Morning Mumbai at Go 92.5 FM. Not that the music so good that it makes me tear my clothes apart with joy, but the whole punch are the RJs, by the names, Jaggu and Tarana.
Jaggu & Tarana are awesomely cool together, its the chemistry. There have been times when Tarana had been on a tour and Malini was doing it (the show) with Jaggu and when Jaggu has been away and Tarana does it alone, but thats not as good. It has to be Jaggu & Tarana both together and then the timing, the chemistry is just so cool.
Now what do they yap about? Its mostly happenings all around us, latest news etc. Like today they yapped about the Crorepati Bar girl Tarannum, who didnt go to KBC.

04:08 pm - DDLJ, after a long time...
Wow, DDLJ is back. completed 500 weeks. But where was it up all this time?? I know of one theatre in Mahalakshmi, Mumbai where it was running all this time.
I went to catch the magic again with Swati and Deepti this sunday at Inox.
Shahrukh looked soooo stupid with his untidily long hair and was just jumping around all the time like mad. It seems so stupid now, but that was the way to be at that time... Kajol, on the other hand, was more beautiful then. Lovely eyes, sigh! It was fun to watch all the scenes but - aao aao, beer umm lassi, bade bade deshon mein aisee chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hai :)
Now waiting for DCH to hit back the theatres... Farhan Akhtar, where are u??

12:02 pm - Saturday night out... Went to Tushar's wow apartment this saturday evening. Wanowrie, didnt even know that Pune existed that far. I am exploring a lot of the new dimension Pune these days, and getting amazed each day. Growth is the word for this city nowadays...
Now I have to describe the apartment here. Nice and plush society, with a pool and a gym and lotsa chicks(as told by Tushar). Its small, made for just two, three would be a crowd. The door of the apartment opens into a nice and cozy living room, with some tasteful furniture and a full length window on one wall. The inhabitants are pretty confident of converting that corner into a lounge with low seating, a low center table, and some soft lighting for the perfect whiskey evening (Invite me!). The walls are done up in very unusual colours and a lot of contrast has also been used. Kapoor exclaimed on entering, "Am I in CCD??". The kitchenette, where later we cooked chicken curry and rice, is a part of the room and not a seperate entity like in my house. You could be cooking and still be intouch with the whiskey evening in the lounge. Great apartment, to sum it all.
And now for the evening. The two of us cooking (and drinking) for the first two hours. We made some excellent chicken and "golden onion patato rice" (its all about branding these days). The talks were mostly about IBM and the processes, but it also swinged to blogs, finance, and ofcourse the apartment. Tushar is absolutely in love with his apartment and is dying to get a woman in there and make breakfast for her (lol!) and the pickup line would be "could I cook you some breakfast"...
Were joined by Gaurav Kapoor and Gaurav Aggarwal, who practically drank the whole rum. At two, we decided to hit the road. Two destinations, Coranthian Club (just a u turn from outside) and then a hill top near Vir Da Dhaba on NH4. People who know Pune would tell you that these are diametrically opposite but who cares :) We were at Vir Da Dhaba at 4 and it was still open. A group had tried to run away without paying the bill and they had caught them. Just when they started beating the guy, he ran like they show in the movies with atleast 20 waiters behind him. Was quite a scene.
We got our tandoori packed and headed for out final destination. A small hill off NH4 with benches on top. You can see the lights of the whole of pune being disected by brighter NH4 lights. We were there till dawn and were toooooo sleepy by then, but Kapoor wanted to see the sun rise. No way!
It was a great evening. the cost - 2 litres of petrol, 750 ml of rum, 3 litres of coke, 1kg of chicken. Worth it :)

03:12 pm - Notice the 'hip movement' Was at the demo session of some Latin American Dance Classes at Koregoan Park this weekend. The instructor there, called Shelly (nice name na), was teaching us Rumba and ChaChaCha. She was so persistent that we should notice the 'hip movement'. She would shout every few minutes : "Guys notice the Hip Movement".
Yes Ma'am I am noticing the hip movement, and oh do I love it! At last I found one place where it is moral to notice hip movements :)
